2007 Little Italy Festival Poker Run!!

Sponsored in part by..

Talk to anyone in the Midwest and mention the “Little Italy Festival” in Clinton Indiana and they will know what you are talking about!  With Italian roots dating back to the pioneer days, the little town of Clinton struts it stuff every fall with one the greatest Fall Festivals around!

Complete with an authentic Wine Garden located in a real grape arbor, Gondola rides on the river and some of the best Italian home cooking this side of the ocean, this is one festival you don’t want to miss!

In 2007 it was decided to add a benefit ride to the festival to help raise money for local charities. Donating a $500 Gift Certificate as the Grand Prize seemed like the right thing to do to us and from that point on the Ride was born and on it’s way!

Starting at the Coal Depot Museum in Clinton In. with a salvo of fireworks and a salute,  the Festival Grape Queen led all the Bikes on a police escorted parade through town and across US 63. The generosity of the Clinton Police Dept and the Vermillion County Sheriffs office showed through here as they shut down the highway to allow all 111 Bikers to cross safely before being letting traffic go again.

Riders then continued on past Dana and into Rockville where their first stop awaited them. Leaving Rockville journeyed out past Turkey Run State Park to HWY 59 and then onto the dam above Raccoon Lake for a stop. They then made a  nice scenic tour through the country to Bridgeton where the new covered bridge and ice cream awaited them!

Their last leg brought the back down US 41 into Clinton & the Wine Garden where all riders enjoyed an Italian Beef sandwich and live music until the awards ceremony began.

There were Besides the $500 Gift Certificate that Victory of Terre Haute donated, there were also $300.00 in Gas Cards, multiple Restaurant gift certificates, free movie tickets and more in door prizes all given away during the awards ceremony.

Don’t miss the 2008 ride – it’s sure to be a good time!
